Blue Mountain School and Springhouse are thrilled to host Todd Scholl, Director and Creator of a new docuseries titled: ReHUMANizing School. ReHUMANizing School is a docuseries about our two small schools here in rural Virginia that prioritize LIFE. Our schools provide a vision for what education can look like when humanity is prioritized.
Join us for this special premiere screening of a film series that shares the powerful message of how education can be transformational in a community. We will have community discussion and provide tea and snacks.
Todd Scholl shares, “I poured my heart and soul into this project because I believe there is much to be learned from these schools about the way we school in America. [The docuseries] is designed to spark conversations about our current test and punish public education system and provide a vision for what is possible when schools focus more on what we need, as humans, to flourish and thrive….not just survive. Through a series of interviews with staff, students, parents, and community members, these HUMANS tell a story about what it would be like if we made humanity our first priority rather than the needs of our economy.”
