We invite you to participate in a juried art show showcasing the voices of Floyd teens (ages 13-19) on the impact of addiction in our community. This community-based art show is a collaboration with the Floyd County High School, Floyd Center for the Arts, and Springhouse Downtown. We plan to bring together Floyd teens, artists, and people in recovery to support our community in exploring the impacts of addiction in our area. Teens will have the opportunity to submit work and enter a contest, followed by a reception and exhibit.
Teens will be invited to use a medium of their choice and create an art piece that speaks to one of the following explorations of impact:
- Self-portrait of the personal impact of addiction
- Impact of addiction on family
- Impact of addiction on the community
We are grateful for our sponsors: New River Valley Community Services & Floyd County Multi-Disciplinary Team
