Learning for Cultural Renewal

A Study Group for Transformative Educators

This is a group for educators who want to strengthen the relationship they have with themselves and explore a new educational design to more sustainably and transformatively work with those they serve.

In this monthly study group, we study the qualities of a new educational paradigm and the curricular principles that lead to a thriving learning community. We explore what it means to be vitality-centered, intergenerational and diverse, holistic, and place-based as a learning community. We learn more about the three pillars of a vitality-centered educational design (community, knowledge, and place) as they relate to creating thriving learning communities around the world. Through inspiring practices and community dialogue, we begin to learn that, when we fundamentally transform the purpose of education, the learning practices follow, and one generation at a time we move toward a world where all life thrives.

We use the book Sourced Education: Learning for Cultural Renewal to ground our study in the actual practice and cultural experiment we have engaged in at Springhouse. Purchasing the book is recommended, but not required, to join this study.

This group is led by Sarah Stabler, Head of School at Springhouse, and meets the 4th Monday of every month from 7-8PM ET online.

WHEN: Fourth Mondays at 7-8PM ET
WHERE: Zoom (register below to receive Zoom details)

This study group is a Springhouse online offering. We are grateful for the relationships we develop around the world and seek to bring consistent ways for others to connect meaningfully with us. We also rely on the financial support of many as we carry out our work, both locally and globally.

Monthly contributions provide us with some financial predictability as we serve a complex and long-term mission. Learn more about becoming a Springhouse Partner here.
