What: Building Beloved Community in the New River Valley
When: Monday, January 20th, 12pm-2pm
Where: Springhouse, 144 Silver Maple Lane, Pilot, VA 24138
Martin Luther King, Jr. defines the beloved community as a global society where all people are free, equal, and treated with dignity, where racism, bigotry, poverty are eliminated.
We are far from that world now, but with a shared vision and long-term commitment, we can build a world where all life thrives.
Introducing The Long Road, an annual event at Springhouse where we celebrate the work of Martin Luther King, Jr. and all those who have worked to build a more vital and just world.
Join us at Springhouse where we will foster unity, celebrate diversity, and cultivate relationships. Enjoy music, connect with others, explore our welcome prints, and bring a dish to share for a community potluck meal.
Monday, January 20th, 12-2 PM
Sourced Press, Springhouse’s print shop, will share welcome prints and community leaders will be invited to join the Community Roundtable–a long-term initiative from Springhouse focused on supporting the holistic development of leaders who serve in their communities.
