On Saturday, April 26th Partnership for Floyd and Springhouse are hosting an EARTH DAY celebration event at Warren G. Lineberry Park, 10AM-3PM. Morning activities include small workshops and skill shares (nature scavenger hunt, puppet-making, nature-crafts, etc) with the afternoon focus on the Procession of Appalachian Species!
Each year Springhouse celebrates the great biodiversity of our region by building and parading with giant puppets. These puppets are a way of honoring and highlighting these amazing creatures in an attempt to bring consciousness and conservation to this immense resource in our region. Please join us for the giant puppet parade 12-2PM. All are welcome to celebrate in the way you’re called; we need musicians, extra puppeteers, dancers, etc. Puppet making open houses and workshops will be announced soon!
