Blue Ridge Passage 2022

The Blue Ridge Passage is a co-ed, week-long backpacking trip with a focus on leadership and personal discovery taking place, this year, in the beautiful Shenandoah National Park.* Through strenuous hiking, solo time in the wilderness, ritual, and connection with peers and guides, participants have the potential for a truly transformational experience. *For returning participants, we will be hiking a new route.

Registrants will receive a detailed packing list; having appropriate gear is critical. If you do not have access to the necessary gear, Springhouse staff can help you secure what is needed.

Parent/guardian components: The trip will start and end with a ceremonial send-off and welcoming home from parents/guardians and families of the participants. Additionally, the parents/guardians and Springhouse staff members will gather on the night that their teens are on their solos to explore about the parent’s/guardian’s role in raising adolescents and to hold space for their children.
