As an organization that puts Life at the center, our development strategies have continued to evolve and change. We are in a new unfurling (or development) at Springhouse, one that is more clear and aligned, emerging from Sourced Design and our commitment to move towards discomfort, not away from it. We know Life cannot truly thrive if we avoid the parts that are painful and difficult. I’m so grateful for a design that supports us as individuals and as growing communities to lovingly engage with all aspects of life: the good, the bad, and the ugly (and the entire spectrum between!).
As the new Development Director, I’m excited to further sturdy and support our vision and mission with the resources needed to create culture and empower others to do the same. We’ve set some bold strategic goals and are holding vulnerable conversations as a staff about needs, both organizational and personal, as we approach budget planning for the next fiscal year (July 1, 2023-June 30, 2024).
Someone recently shared that when asked, “Where will the money come from?” we can remember that “money is out there and it comes from somewhere.” Resources exist and abound in our world! We see this when we look at the powerful, regenerative ways the earth sustains and sources itself.
I’m in the process of exploring and envisioning creative ways to cultivate relationships and channels for needed resources to find their way to Springhouse. I look forward to connecting with you along the way!
